David Blaine might be able to hang upside down above Central Park for 60 hours in a row without food or sleep. But could David Blaine beat the Aggro-Crag in record time?
My Family’s got GUTS best feature may be that it puts kids and adults on equal footing in the competition. The family participants are the ones who decide which team members will compete in each event, which encourages them to play to each parent or child’s physical strengths and makes for some fun viewing when kids and adults battle it out head-to-head. And don’t be surprised if your own kids are inspired to do some climbing, leaping, or running after seeing how much fun these families have so take the chance to lace up your own sneakers and join them for some physical activity and family bonding.
Nicks new show My Family’s got GUTS is obviously based on the hit show GUTS that aired back in the 90’s. The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree when compairing the two. All the familiar elements such as the events and of course the Aggro Crag are all there, so how different is this new GUTS? One major difference in the improved point system, in the old show on each event you either placed first, second, or third and thus earned 300, 200, or 100 points. The exception was the Aggro Crag, the winner here was awarded 725, second 550 and third 375, allowing a contestant to come from behind and win by collecting the most points. The Scoring in My Family’s got GUTS allows teams to build points based on their performance, with many events awarding teams points per goal or points per basket scored. Personally I think this system makes the game much more competitive. The Aggro Crag no longer awards points either, the first person to reach the top of the Aggro Crag wins, how is this fair you ask? The points come into play now, the leader in points goes first, and the other teams start 1 second later for every 10 points behind they are. Making the earning of points much more important in earlier games. This new point system is just one of many improvements made to GUTS, turning it into the great new hit.
It was looking like RED would be taking a piece of the Crag home - but Team Eichen Splat who had lost both of the previous challenges pulled it together in the end! These guys beat RED by more than just a couple of seconds - they were the clear dominators of THE AGGRO-CRAG!
